Family Comes First

Today was a wonderful day to focus on family. We did so many little crafts about our family, we’re going to compile them into a book. We made a family crest, a family flag, and family trees. The kids drew their own family portraits, and we made family puppets out of Popsicle sticks. We also traced each person’s hand on construction paper, cut them out, and layered them together on a piece of paper. It turned out really cute!

The highlight of this family day, though, was stopping by to VISIT some of our family. We got to see my dad, Grandpa Ries, and Jon’s parents, Grandma Terri and Papa Earl. (Plus, on the beautiful drive, we got to take pictures of some of the clouds we learned about yesterday!)

I love that we get the chance to make new memories every day. Can’t wait for tomorrow!!
